I appreciate the performance and excellent features of full-size rifles, so I wanted to try out a new short-barreled pistol for carry. Is it equally impressive and will it work for concealed carry? How does it measure up to my ten criteria, specifically accuracy, reliability, and confidentiality? This is my assessment and field test.

Review Of The Norinco Np28 Pistol

The Ruger Security-9 Compact features the same safety hammer action system as the successful Ruger Security-9 full-size and LCP II pistols. The stock is short, short and smooth, and uses an internally coated hammer instead of a hammer, which helps ease the slide. This pistol features the excellent proven performance of the Security-Six cartridge, with basic performance, excellent reliability, value and excellent ergonomics. It is not a unique convertible semi-automatic pistol with a high-end design, but a moderately priced and comfortable pistol that performs consistently and meets the basic requirements for concealed carry.

This weapon is not an assault rifle, but rather a "single action" with a double action system with a hammer first. The short and smooth trigger, which is pre-compressed, reminds me of my single action rifle, and I like it. Many would consider it a single action trigger due to the soft pull when the thread is pressed. For safety, the Ruger Security-9 features a trigger safety, a manual thumb safety, and a hammer grip that prevents the pistol from firing if the trigger is not pressed. He has brown curly locks. This pistol is solidly built, usually found in more expensive pistols, and does not have a "cheap" feel. The projectile is partially ejected by the rear action of the slide, like an assault rifle. Pulling the trigger completes the hammer cycle to fire the gun. This creates a single action trigger feel with a shorter reset point than when it is a double pistol.

Below I provide full size and compact Security-9 sizes and some comparison specs for several brands with similar barrel lengths ranging from just 3.39″ to 3.50″. The new Security-9 Compact carries two 10-round steel magazines, but can use the 15-round magazine that comes with a full-size pistol. There's also a one-finger extension for added control. Extended, 15 rounds are available for purchase. Each of the pistols below has its own advantages for personal preference.

The slide and barrel are both constructed of hardened steel, meaning the steel is hardened on all sides during the manufacturing process, instead of just hardening the outer layer and keeping the inner surface slightly softer. High levels of carbon are added to the alloy during the solidification process. When the component parts are heat treated and solidified, every part is solid and strong from core to core. The goal is to extend the life of the repaired part. Solid chrome-moly steel slide, blued finish. The full-size and compact body is made of die-cast aluminum and features full-length rails. The consistent construction of both guns rests on a compact but durable frame made of glass-filled nylon. The polymer handle with a non-aggressive structure on both sides is thin, strong and highly impact resistant. He bought me a comfortable grip and enough to help manage.

Gun Review: Ruger American Pistol (9mm)

Thanks to Ruger for loaning me this compact pistol for testing and evaluation purposes. Please note that I am not on their payroll, paid for this article, or influenced to say anything about guns. I want to be honest and straightforward with my thoughts and opinions as I see a pistol to help people wholeheartedly. In particular, I want to know how accurate it is out of the box without modification? How hard is his click? Is the mattress flat and short? What about the revision period for the next shot? Is it reliable? What are its advantages, disadvantages and special features? Is there a problem or concern that would prevent me from carrying this gun? Is it a gun you would recommend for concealment and home defense?
